This post describes viewing the May 20, 2012 annular solar eclipse early in the morning (around 7:27–7:35 AM). Arrive early for a clear view and to set up a camera/tripod. Use proper solar viewing protection/solar filters for eyes and camera lenses; do not look directly at the sun without eclipse glasses. A park visit itself is free; weather/cloud cover can affect visibility.

- From central Tokyo: take the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line or Toei Oedo Line to Roppongi Station, then walk about 5 minutes to Tokyo Midtown Park. Alternatively, take the Tokyo Metro Chiyoda Line to Nogizaka Station and walk about 3–5 minutes.
